Harry Potter ‘invisibility cloak’ lets you disappear from photos and videos
YOU can now wear your very own invisibility cloak thanks to this new Harry Potter toy.
When you put it on, the faux magical finery makes you look as though you’ve disappeared when filmed or photographed through a special app.
Clips and snaps can then be added to your Camera Roll and shown to all your muggle mates.
Created with the help of Harry Potter maker Warner Brothers, the costume boasts the same pattern as the Boy Who Lived’s own cloak.
It essentially works like a movie green screen, blending in with the background whenever you put it on.
Obviously, you’re not actually disappearing, and the illusion only works if viewed through an app built by US toy maker Wow Stuff.
“To start enjoying the illusion of invisibility, simply cover yourself, family, friends or even objects with the Invisibility Cloak,” the firm writes in its product description.
“View, photograph or film yourself through the app on your phone or tablet, and set your imagination free.”
You’ll need to scan a unique code on your cloak to link it to the app, which is available on iOS and Android.
The cloak is on sale now in the UK.
A £59.99 Standard Version includes detailed patterning and a foldaway stand to steady the gizmo while in use.
You can fork out an extra tenner for the Deluxe Version (£69.99) to add “authentic patterning” and a tabletop tripod to hold your phone or tablet.
