Coronation Street’s David Platt and Nick Tilsley face prison for stealing Audrey’s money
CORONATION Street’s David Platt and Nick Tilsley face prison for stealing Audrey’s money.
The soap has shared a sneak peek of the two men standing in the dock at court to their Instagram page.
The foreboding photo was captioned: “It’s judgement day for Nick and David.”
David, played by Jack P Shepherd, looks particularly troubled in the snap, whereas evil Nick [Ben Price] remains stony-faced.
Fans will be able to watch the court case unfold in next week’s episodes, with it being speculated that David and Shona Ramsey could split as he is jailed.
Viewers fear that David will end up getting time for the crime, despite the fact it was his brother who came up with the scheme.
Shona has expressed concern that Natalie appears to have disappeared, with she the only one who could tell the court that Nick was acting alone when he conned his grandma out of £80,000.
In a bid to comfort his fiancee, David suggests moving their wedding forward, only to be faced by the brutal reality that he might be behind bars by then.
Corrie fans previously speculated that David’s fate has been revealed after actor Jack, 31, shared that he had booked back to back holidays – jetting from the Caribbean to New York with girlfriend Hanni Trewee.

David already looks set to take the rap for the entire scam – despite being completely innocent – and fans believe Jack’s extensive time away could be because his character is being sent to jail.
Meanwhile, Julia Goulding, who plays Shona, is due to head on maternity leave, fuelling rumours that David will lose the love of his life in addition to his freedom.
Fans will have to tune in next week to find out if evil Nick will get away once again, landing his brother in prison.
