Burnley tell Ben Gibson he can leave as Aston Villa and Sheffield United show £15m transfer interest
BURNLEY are reportedly set to flog Ben Gibson for £15million – with the three new Premier League clubs all interested.
The 26-year-old joined the Clarets from hometown club Middlesbrough last summer in what was believed to be a coup.
But the centre-half has struggled with injury, making just ONE appearance, and his time at Turf Moor may already be up.
Teamtalk is reporting that Norwich, Aston Villa and Sheffield United are all interesting in offering a Premier League lifeline.
It is being reported that Gibson has been told by Burnley that he is free to leave the club.
One player the club are clawing to keep hold of however is keeper Tom Heaton.
SunSport exclusively revealed that WATFORD have joined the pack chasing the Burnley contract rebel.
HEATON IN DEMAND
The club-captain has rejected a new contract at Turf Moor, sparking a three-way hunt also involving Aston Villa and Bournemouth.
And Watford boss Javi Gracia is eager for a new keeper following the departure of Heurelho Gomes at the end of the season.
He is ready to put Ben Foster directly up against his compatriot in competition for places at Vicarage Road.
Heaton, 33, only has a year left on his existing deal at Burnley and so could walk out of the club at the end of next season on a free transfer.

But negotiations are at a standstill after the player turned down the initial offer and he could leave on a Bosman free transfer next summer unless a compromise is reached.
He would cost around £5million and Burnley may be forced to cash in or risk losing their experienced keeper for nothing next May.
Meanwhile Joe Hart could end his own Turf Moor misery with a move to French outfit Lille.
