Dan James ramps out pre-season training alone ahead of linking up with Man Utd team-mates after sparking ticket rush for AC Milan friendly

DAN JAMES is stepping up his pre-season training alone in Dubai ahead of joining new Manchester United team-mates.

And Red Devils fans seem to have great hopes for the Wales star as his arrival has already sparked a ticket rush for the club’s friendly in Cardiff.

James 21, completed his £15million move from Swansea to Old Trafford earlier in June.

And to hit the ground running before the new season begins, he teamed up with personal trainers from Kaizen 3 Performance to work on his fitness in Dubai.

The group shared a video on Instagram showing the new Red Devils star in a series of drills including sprint, shooting and ball control exercises.

The company, which promises “elite training environment utilising cutting edge training ideas”, also branded him the “quickest player in the Premier League”.

Meanwhile, ticket sales for United’s clash with AC Milan at the Principality Stadium on August 3 have almost doubled since James joined the Red Devils.

With a Welshman in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ranks, ticket sales have surged from 25,000 to nearly 45,000 at the 74,500-capacity venue.

The bottom two tiers of the Principality Stadium have already sold out and £25 tickets for the top tier went on sale last week.

Organisers are hoping the International Champions Cup fixture will be played in front of a 70,000-plus attendance.

The pre-season friendly for Solskjaer’s side is the only fixture United will play in the UK before they kick-off their Premier League campaign against Chelsea at Old Trafford on August 11.
