Dassault's Rafale was developed for the French Air Force and Navy, but has also been purchased by Egypt, Qatar, and India. Already in service with France's Air Force and Navy, the aircraft has been developed to handle a variety of roles, including air defense, reconnaissance, close air support, air-to-ground precision strikes, and anti-ship attacks. The fighter has seen combat over Afghanistan, Libya, Mali, Iraq, and Syria.
