Motorcyclist ignored the red light and is struck by a car

The eyewitness registrar captured the moment of a traffic accident involving a motorcyclist from France, which occurred on Sunday, June 23, at the Obukhovsky Bridge in St. Petersburg.

Judging by the video frames, the tourist, who was riding a BMW R1200GS motorcycle, ignored the prohibitory signal of a traffic light, went to the intersection, where he was hit by an Opel car, driven by a 51-year-old woman.

After the collision, the car drove out of the carriageway and crashed into a tree, and the motorcycle flew dangerously close to pedestrians.

According to local media , as a result of the incident, both drivers were injured of moderate severity.
