Man ‘punched his brother, 15, to death for vaping in his grandmother’s house’
A 15-year-old boy died after his brother punched him in the head for vaping inside his grandmother’s house, police say.
Tyler Kiger, 21, allegedly battered his brother, Michael Kiger, so violently that he fractured the teen’s skull in La Porte County, Indiana on June 7.
The teen did not go to a hospital and instead was taken to his mother’s house where he died the following day.
Tyler Kiger was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter on Tuesday.
A probably cause hearing last week revealed that Kiger allegedly punched his younger brother in the left side of his yed after getting upset at the teen for vaping in his grandmother’s house, Fox 5 reported.
During the hearing, Sheriff’s Detective Sargent Adam Hannon said: ‘Micheal told the dispatcher that he had been battered by his brother. He complained of pain to his head.’
‘He mentioned that he was having difficulty hearing out of one of his ears.’

He was later found unresponsive at his mother’s house.
Officials ruled the cause of death ‘blunt force trauma to the head.’
Kiger was booked at the La Porte County Jail on a $15,000 cash only bond.
