Child taken to hospital after allegedly bitten by dogs, Cleveland County officials say

NORMAN, Okla. – The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two dogs allegedly bit a child near Norman.
Deputies and emergency crews responded to the scene east of Norman, near SE 299th and S Dobbs Rd. on Monday around 12:45 p.m.
The sheriff’s office says the child was taken to the hospital for treatment of dog bites.
“Two mixed breed, pit bull-type, dogs are alleged to have bitten the child,” said Joy Hampton, Public Information Officer for the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say the incident happened at a private residence.
According to the sheriff’s office, the age and sex of the child have not been confirmed.
The incident remains under investigation and no other details have been released.
