June 24: The Clippers and 76ers have backed off their pursuit of Durant in light of his Achilles injury, Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher says.
June 24: Durant is frustrated with the Warriors’ training team over his Achilles injury, wondering if he was misled about the calf injury that came before, according to Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher.
June 21: The Brooklyn Nets are considered the front-runners to sign Durant this summer, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reports. Durant would likely team up with friend and fellow superstar Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn.
June 20: The Warriors have reportedly discussed a delayed sign-and-trade deal with Durant that would allow him to sign a supermax contract and rehab with the Warriors before they trade him to another team next summer. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst says this would be one way the Warriors could recoup value for Durant.
June 17: Draymond Green flew to New York to visit Durant after the NBA Finals while he recovers from Achilles surgery. But Green was not there to woo Durant back to Golden State, the New York Post reported. Instead, he was just there as a friend to Durant.
