At 37 years old, Rep. Ilhan Omar is one of the most high profile members of Congress. Despite having no qualifications other than wearing a hijab and occasionally saying anti-Semitic things.
Now she's pushing a Senator Bernie Sanders proposals to have taxpayers assume $1.7 trillion in student loan debt.
"I am one of the 45 million people with student debt—45 million people who are held back from pursuing their dreams because of the student debt crisis. It’s why I’m proud to stand with @SenSanders and @RepJayapalto pass #CollegeforAll and #CancelStudentDebt!" she tweeted.
Omar graduated from North Dakota State University in 2011 with a BA in political science which qualified her for little other than politics.
And that's what she did.
NSDU's current in-state tuition is $8,237. And I would assume that Omar, as a trendy minority refugee, got every possible break there ever was.
She's currently earning $174,000 a year as a member of the House. And Dems have been pushing for a big pay hike.
So what's this student debt that's preventing her from accomplishing her dreams? Is it as real as her first marriage?
What would she have accomplished without student debt? A place in the Senate?
