‘Minor’ Cabinet revamp looms – source

A “minor” revamp is expected to take place in the official family of President Rodrigo Duterte, as the Chief Executive’s term nears the halfway mark, a highly placed source said on Monday.

The source, who requested anonymity for lack of authority to speak to media, said Duterte was still completing the evaluation of all departments’ performances, which may include the Department of Agriculture, headed by Secretary Emmanuel Piñol.

Piñol, according to the source, may be transferred to the Mindanao Development Authority.

The President is expected to announce the possible Cabinet revamp before he delivers his 4th State of the Nation Address next month, the source added.
