Serena Williams & Ciara's Daughters Had a Playdate & the Video Is Beyond Cute

It’s hard to be a working mother and find time to bond with friends, especially those who have kids of their own. But when Serena Williams isn’t slaying on the tennis courts, she’s hanging out with her daughter and good friend. Ciara and Serena Williams’s daughters Sienna and Alexis Olympia had a playdate — all captured in an adorable video.

The video, shared to Ciara’s Instagram, shows the group enjoying a pool day on a recent trip to Cannes, France. Ciara is holding her daughter, 2-year-old Sienna, while Williams cradles, Alexis Olympia, 1. “The moments I cherish,” Ciara wrote in the caption. In the video, both mothers try to get their little girls to say “bonjour” to the camera. Sienna sounds like a master of the language, throwing out “bonjours” and “à bientôt’s” (see you soon) like a champ. Little Alexis Olympia tries to join in but seems more interested in the water. The two daughters eventually get bored with their moms and decide to keep the splash party going. Ciara shares Sienna with husband Russell Wilson, while Williams shares her daughter with husband Alexis Ohanian.

For growing up in the spotlight for so long, it’s remarkable how Williams has balanced her personal life with the professional. She may battle with people critiquing her tennis outfits, but both her and husband Alexis Ohanian are incredibly hands-on parents — though Ohanian has taken it in the shins on social for his inability to deal with his daughter’s hair.

There’s no doubt that Williams will continue to perfectly balance her own career success with more playdates like this — fun, simple and low-key.
