Woman who spent years feeling hungover was being poisoned by breast implants
An Australian waitress who spent years feeling hungover was actually being poisoned by her breast implants.
Nat Alexander, 26, says her implants were ‘slowly killing her’ after the entire left side of her face and body went numb.
She says doctors continued to insist that she was healthy for years.
Nat, from Brisbane, Queensland, decided to speak out after getting breast enlargement surgery – and spending six years in agony to a point where it was ‘unbearable to the point of suicide.’
She underwent surgery in June of this year to remove them and says, ‘now, my breasts may be tiny, but they are mine.
‘They aren’t poisoning me anymore.
‘I feel like the plastic surgeons sold me a dream and I bought it, the price I paid was my health.
‘I was hospitalised when the whole left side of my face and body went numb and practically lost capacity to use this side of my body.’
Nat says she work up ‘every-day like I had a bad hangover, with extreme fatigue, brain fog, difficulty concentrating and severe anxiety that left me housebound, which then led to panic attacks.’
‘The list of what I was feeling was endless – I began to have burning and tingling sensations in my extremities, acid reflux, muscle weaknesses, alongside chronic headaches and constant joint pain,’ she added.
At one point her symptoms got so severe, she ‘contemplated suicide’.
Nat refused to believe doctors who dismissed her concerns, and began to research into what could be causing her illness.
As she began to reach out to other girls who also had similar symptoms, she became sure that her breast implants were to blame.
Nat said: ‘I was linked to a Facebook group with over 70,000 girls all going through the same thing, they were suffering from the same symptoms, having the same issues and concerns.
‘The more I researched and uncovered, the more angry, disappointed and concerned I became.
‘I could not believe that my breast implants could cause me to be so sick neurologically, optically, and compromise my entire immune system from my muscles, nerves to my joints.’
After asking her breast surgeon if he believed her breast implants may be causing her illness, he allegedly told her he had seen so many cases, ‘he couldn’t deny it’.
She went on to add: ‘On the sixth of February, the FDA announced that all implants, saline or silicone can cause a form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma called BIA – ALCL, which is a form of cancer of the immune system.
‘I don’t believe this isn’t rare, it’s just going undiagnosed.
‘To find out the implants that I have in my body have been recalled in Australia and announced contaminated, linked to cancer of the immune system (BIA-ALCL) was terrifying.’
