PSG star Thiago Silva thanks Dave fan who went viral after rapping his song at Glastonbury
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Thiago Silva has praised the fan who rapped the Dave song named in his honour in front of thousands at Glastonbury Festival.
‘Thiago Silva’ is a track by London rappers Dave and AJ Tracey, which was released in 2016 but performed solo on the Other stage by Dave last weekend.
Dave – full name David Orobosa Omoregie – regularly gets fans on stage to sing AJ Tracey’s part of the song.
And this time he picked Alex – who was wearing a PSG shirt with Silva’s name on the back – to showcase his skills.
Dave asked the crowd: “Who’s sober enough to sing these lyrics with me?”
On spotting Alex, he added: “I see a PSG shirt over there, but do you know the lyrics? He looks like he knows the lyrics. Yeah, let’s take a chance.”
And Alex didn’t let him down, reciting the lyrics – which go ‘I one-two rap, she don’t give hat/Thiago Silva, man block then skeet’ – perfectly.
Alex said he was “f***ing buzzing” before his moment in the spotlight – and Silva has now shown his appreciation for his efforts.
The Brazil defender and PSG captain, 34, quoted a video of Alex’s performance with the message: “Thanks Alex!”
And Dave joked he can now retire after Silva saw the song.

He wrote: “Thiago Silva has recognised Thiago Silva and now I have decided to retire. My work here is done.”
And he even hinted that a follow-up track called ‘Kylian’ is coming out.
They’ll need to get Mbappe’s attention for that one.
