Pedestrian in her 40s dies after driver in her 80s ploughs into front of Specsavers shop
A WOMAN has died after she was hit by a car that had ploughed into the front of a Specsavers.
The emergency services were called to the centre of Boston, Lincolnshire just after 1.30pm today.
A spokesman from the East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1.37pm on 1 July to Wide Bargate in Boston.
“The caller reported there had been a road traffic collision.
“We sent two crewed ambulances and a LIVES community first responder.”
Lincolnshire police confirmed the woman in her 40s that had been involved in the accident had died while the driver of a grey Citroen had been taken to hospital.
The driver of the car was said to have minor injuries.
Police said they were continuing their investigations.
