Arsenal plot £12million swoop for Hull striker Jarrod Bowen

ARSENAL are preparing a £12million swoop for Hull striker Jarrod Bowen.

The 22-year-old has been watched by the Gunners since January.

And the North Londoners have been impressed by his performances that saw him net 22 times for the Tigers last season.

Their rivals Tottenham also kept tabs on Bowen but Arsenal are set to make an official bid.

The Gunners have been trying to lure 26-year-old Wilfried Zaha to the Emirates from Crystal Palace but are baulking at the £80million price-tag.

Bowen, four years younger, is seen as a good value option.

Hull value their prized asset at £15m but will be tempted to let him go for £3m less if the Gunners come knocking.

An Arsenal insider told SunSport: “Jarrod is a bright, young talent and would be great value for money.

“The club had checked him out before but at the time were not interested in pursuing it.

“However, his performances in the second half of last season made a real impression – and we believe he can develop into a top, top player.”
