Campy down tube indexed shifter questions.

Hey. I've had these shift levers since the mid 90s and haven't used them for the past 15 years. I'm gonna sell them on the famous auction site but I have a few questions. I believe they are 7 speed (I did get them to work with an 8 speed) but I want to make sure. Here is a pic of the index gear. Can anyone tell what speed it definitely is?



Also, the brass washer (SL-RE108) on the right shift lever has a small lip. Does the lip go towards the lever or the frame? It seems like it fits perfectly when placed toward the lever, but Campagnolo's spare parts diagram shows it going towards the frame.



Finally, the small O-rings (SL-RE121) are they for packing purposes and should they be removed when mounting the levers? I remember removing them when I used the levers, but I did save them with the original box and instructions. In fact the instruction sheet doesn't even show them in it's diagram.
