'Emergency': Pence cancels trip, returns to White House

Air Force Two, carrying Vice President Mike Pence to a scheduled speaking event in New Hampshire, Tuesday morning reversed course and returned him to the White House to address an unspecified emergency.
The Hill said there was no response from the vice president’s office on the nature of the need.
He had been en route to a speaking engagement regarding the crisis of opioids in America.
But “Air Force Two was called back to the nation’s capital so that Pence could attend to an unspecified emergency,” the report said.
The Washington Examiner said a spokesman for the vice president who was in New Hampshire explained the flight had been diverted back to Washington.

Fox reported officials said there was “no cause” for concern and the issue was not related to national security.
