Arsenal make cheeky £50m transfer enquiry for Harry Maguire.. £35m short of Leicester’s asking price
ARSENAL have made an enquiry for Harry Maguire but look set to be blown away after saying they will only go to £50million for the England centre-half.
Manchester United have matched City’s offer of £70m for the England international.
But Leicester will only do business at £85m.
Arsenal also registered their interest last week but they are £35m short of the cash needed to do a deal.
SunSport revealed that the Gunners have made a £40m offer for Wilfried Zaha in which they would pay in instalments over five years.
But Crystal Palace see that offer as “embarrassing” and want £120m for their star player.
Leicester were confident at the end of last season that Maguire, 27, who signed a new five-year deal last September, would stay for one more campaign.

United were also interested in Maguire, who cost £17million from Hull two years ago, last term but felt the £70m being demanded was too much.
Maguire, 26, has made 20 appearances for England and a move to City – potentially – would see him play at the back alongside John Stones and Harry Maguire.
Leicester are already thinking about potential replacements for Maguire and one option – and a cheap one – would be free transfer Gary Cahill who has left Chelsea.
