Co-stars and friends of Disney star Cameron Boyce post moving tributes after surprising death at age 20

20-year-old actor Cameron Boyce, best know for his role as Luke in Disney Channel's "Jessie," has died, his family confirmed Saturday night. Boyce died in his sleep after a seizure as a result of an ongoing medical condition he was receiving treatment for.
His other performances include roles in "Grown Ups" and "Grown Ups 2," along with the Disney TV film series "The Descendants" and the Disney XD series "Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything."
Boyce's co-stars, entertainment industry peers, and friends have posted tributes and reactions to the star's passing on social media, along with fans and supporters. His "Jessie" co-star Skai Jackson posted an Instagram tribute with behind-the-scenes photos of the two.
"I don't even know where to start... I am at a loss for words," Jackson wrote in her caption. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs.
"I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had... I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much... fly high ???????? ???????? Gods best Angel."

Boyce's teammate on the celebrity basketball team Hollywood Knights, Daniel Curtis Lee, tweeted a photo of the two with the caption "Rest In Peace and Power."

Charles Esten, who played Boyce's character's father on the "Jessie" Disney series, tweeted "My family and I are devastated today, by the loss of our young and amazing friend, Cameron Boyce. Years before I was blessed to play his father on JESSIE, we were blessed to know him and his wonderful family at the elementary school our kids all attended together."

Esten continued on in his thread to write "Cameron never carried himself with anything but kindness, humility, effortless grace, and great humor. Even as his star ascended with JESSIE, and he began to receive the type of fame that can change people, I never saw that change. Not even a little."

A Disney spokesperson said, "From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. As a young man, he was fuelled by a strong desire to make a difference in peoples' lives through his humanitarian work."
"He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and thoughtful person and, above all else, he was a loving and dedicated son, brother, grandson, and friend," the statement continued. "We offer our deepest condolences to his family, cast mates and colleagues and join his many millions of fans in grieving his untimely passing. He will be dearly missed."
