Man arrested after barricade SWAT situation in Blacklick
One man was arrested following a SWAT situation early Sunday morning after a suspect with a gun reportedly barricaded himself, a woman and several children inside a home in Blacklick, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident began just before 7 a.m. Sunday after deputies were dispatched to 6824 Havens Road on a report of a domestic violation situation.
The incident evolved into a SWAT situation when deputies arrived and found a man with a gun in the driveway.
The man then went inside the home and barricaded a woman, several children and himself inside the residence.
Havens Road was closed between Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road and Colts Neck Road, officials said.
The sheriff’s office with the help of the Gahanna Police Department got the woman and children out safely and arrested the man just after 10 a.m. Sunday.
No injuries were reported.
The situation has been contained, authorities said.
