Have Spurs made right decision in securing defender’s future?

Tottenham defender Ben Davies is close to agreeing a new long-term contract at the club, according to The Daily Mail.
Davies joined the club from Swansea City in the summer of 2014 as part of the deal that saw Gyfil Sigurdsson move the other way.
And after a successful few seasons competing with Danny Rose for that left-back spot, Pochettino is keen to extend his current deal that has two years left to run. The Daily Mail understands that Davies will sign a five-year deal.


The Welshman was an unused substitute in the Champions League Final defeat to Liverpool last month, but made 40 appearances for Spurs last season – 31 of those from the start – and looks set to stay with the North London side for the foreseeable future.
