Tanker with 75,000 tonnes of oil arrives in Ukraine from US
The Wisdom Venture tanker with a batch of 75,000 tonnes of oil from the Bakken field (the United States) on July 6 moored at the Odesa seaport.
According to a posting on the website of the port, it will take 36 hours to unload oil to the coastal reservoirs. Oil is delivered for Kremenchuk oil refinery (Ukrtatnafta).
“Once, oil from Russia and Kazakhstan was transported through the port in large volumes, Venezuelan oil for the Mozyr oil refinery in Belarus. Now tankers with crude oil from Azerbaijan come from time to time,” Head of the Odesa Port’s authorities Ihor Tkachuk said.
Ukrtatnafta operates the Kremenchuk oil refinery. The designed capacity of the refinery for processing crude oil is 18.6 million tonnes per year, the nominal capacity is about 7.3 million tonnes per year.
NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy owns a 43.05 percent stake in Ukrtatnafta, another 28 percent is controlled by the structures of the former owners of PrivatBank and businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky.
