Wedding planner is marrying my man after he dumped me just weeks before our big day

A JILTED bride is selling her unworn dress after her fiancé ran off with their wedding planner.

Donna Bettiss, 28, thought hubby-to-be James Routledge’s work pal Paige Hannington was a blessing in disguise when she helped organise their big day.

But she was left devastated when James, 30, dumped her weeks before she was due to walk down the aisle and began a relationship with Paige, 27 — herself a newlywed.

Donna, who got engaged to James six months after meeting him in a nightclub, said: “We were both really, really happy and so madly in love — head over heels. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

“Paige and I would meet up for a cocktail and she gave me stuff for my wedding. It was a massive help.

“When James told me he didn’t love me any more and the wedding wasn’t going ahead, I was broken.

“I collapsed on the floor and cried my eyes out. I went numb and sat in the same spot for four days.”

Donna, of Horsham, West Sussex, has a new partner and wants to forget her aborted 2018 wedding by selling her £1,800 dress.

She added: “It’s been at my uncle’s house until recently. Now it’s in my wardrobe, I desperately need it gone. There are too many bad memories.”

But James and Paige, who are now engaged and have a daughter, said they were both unhappy in their previous relationships.

Photographer Paige added: “I told many friends I wanted to end my marriage, and I did. I saw James at work two or three days later and he told me he had left Donna. Nothing happened for four or five weeks.

“James was quite fair. Nobody wants to be stood in their wedding dress and him have cold feet on the day. I wish Donna happiness.”
