What happened in tonight’s episode?

Following Chris and Francesca’s arrival, the rest of the Islanders wasted no time in getting to know the newcomers.

During a conversation with Jordan, Chris was asked what his ideal woman would look like, and when the business development manager responded saying that she’d have to be blonde with bright eyes, Anton seemed worried.

Given that he’s coupled up with Belle, the gym owner seemed to think that Chris was describing his Island partner, which appeared to have left him on the edge.

And there definitely wasn’t any time wasted in getting the newbies out of the villa to spend some quality time with two Islanders they wanted to go on a date with.

The next day Francesca received a text message, which read: “Francesca and Chris. This afternoon you will each be going on two dates, please now choose your first dates and ask them out. #decisionsdecisions #spoiltforchoice”

Francesca chose London athlete Ovie while Chris went with Belle for their first choice.

The professional basketball player had definitely made the effort in getting to know the new bombshell, stressing that he was infatuated with her eyes while Francesca complimented back, saying: “You’re so chilled out. I like that. You’re so easy to be around and you’re so pretty.”

Elsewhere, Chris had asked Belle if there was a chance that her head could be turned – he’d been aware that the make-up artist was coupled up with Anton, but he clearly had enough interest in the blonde beauty to see whether she would consider recoupling.

After their dates, Francesca and Chris had to pick another Islander to take out of the villa, and this time it was Curtis and Maura that had been chosen.

It seemed rather clear, however, that the Irish beauty had little to no interest in getting to know Chris, having mentioned in the Beach Hut: “The poor lad [Chris] is going to be talking to me and I’m just going to be earwigging. I want to hear the way Curtis is behaving!”

During her date, Maura didn’t even hesitate to question Chris as to why he’d chosen her for a date – she’s clearly still trying to see where things will go between her and Curtis.

“You’ve got a cracking personality. You’re the type of girl you’d give stick out, but I think you can take it as well,” Chris expressed to her.

“I’m glad you said that because when you asked me why I took you on a date, I was going to say ‘to see if it’s all talk’.”

Meanwhile, Curtis and Francesca’s date went somewhat better as the pair examined all things concerning their families, and there didn’t appear to be any cumbersomeness between the two.

Amber had also made it known that she still had feelings for Michael, who’s been coupled up with Joanna ever since she made her arrival during Casa Amor week.

When asked by Anna and Maura on what she thought about the new male Islander, Amber was quick to let it be known that he doesn’t tend to tick all of her boxes, hinting that she wasn’t going to pursue him in the villa.

“I can’t switch off my feelings. I still like Michael. Chris is lovely and he’s got tattoos and he’s tall but I just had something with Michael.”

While the Islanders relaxed in the garden, Molly-Mae received a text mentioning that a challenge between the girls and boys was set to take place later in the day.

The task consisted of all boys wearing heart rate monitors while each girl performed a dance routine on a fellow Islander – the boys later reversed roles with the girls and had to put on a show of their own.

The results would then reveal which boy had which girl’s heart racing the fastest and vice versa, with only one team able to win the thrilling challenge.

While the majority of the contenders, including Belle, put on a great performance, it was Curtis who truly set the bar high when he flaunted his moves to Maura.

Close to the finish of his routine, the ballroom dancer lifted her up and planted a kiss on the Irish beauty, with Maura later saying in the Beach Hut: “Curtis gets a ten out of ten from me!”
