Albertans who died from opioids usually young men in trades

Alberta Health says young men in the trades, transport or equipment operations were most likely to be the ones who died from an opioid overdose in 2017. Of 655 confirmed opioid deaths that year, 412 had those occupations. Similar trends have been observed across the country.
