Afghanistan’s Qais Mohammadi Receives 2019 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Awards
Qais Mohammadi, Academic Member of Economics Faculty, KardanUniversity, has been named a regional recipient of the 2019 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) recognizes individuals each year who exemplify teaching excellence in the classroom.

The Kardan University said in a statement that Mr. Mohammadi was honored, along with other regional recipients, at the ACBSP Conference 2019, June 21-24 in Houston, Texas.
The statement further added that he received a crystal medallion described as the Best Teacher in Asia. This is a great achievement for him, Kardan University and Afghanistan’s Academic Society at large.
Meanwhile, Sayed Abdul Moiz Mirzada, Dean Faculty of Economics, Kardan University said “I believe he is an exceptional communicator, a gifted teacher, and a perfect role model for other faculty at Kardan University. His communicative abilities both in the lectureship and in personal issues have made Mr. Mohammadi a dynamic and powerful communicator, which has also helped him make complex subjects understandable to his students.”
Kardan University founded in 2002 in Kabul, is the first privately owned university in Afghanistan.
Over the past 17 years, Kardan has produced more than 30,000 graduates across multiple levels including Undergraduate, Masters, and English Language Programs. In 2018, after a rigorous academic quality assessment process conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Kardan was recognized as one of the top five universities in Afghanistan.
In 2015, Kardan University was accredited by the International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) for its Business Management program, and in 2017, the university was accepted as a member of the Global Business School Network (GBSN).
