2 men killed in South Chicago shooting: police

Two men were killed after being shot Saturday in South Chicago, police said.
They were traveling in a vehicle about 11 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Escanaba Avenue when two males on foot opened fire, Chicago police said.
A 26-year-old was struck in the head and body, and a 31-year-old was hit in the neck, police said. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where they were pronounced.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on their deaths.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
