Boy, 1, found with head injury dies as cops arrest man, 23, for MURDER
A BABY boy who was found with a head injury has died and police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
The one-year-old was rushed to hospital on Friday at around 6pm following an incident at an address in Speke, Liverpool.
A Merseyside police spokesman said: “We can confirm that a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a one-year-old boy, who was admitted to hospital from an address in Speke on Friday, 12 July.
“At 6pm, police were informed by the ambulance service of concerns for a child, who had been taken to hospital from an address in Belsford Way earlier in the afternoon having suffered a head injury.
“He has now sadly passed away, and his family are being supported by specialist officers.
“Following enquiries, a 23-year-old man from Winsford, Cheshire has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a police station for questioning.”
