Cage fighter Paul Allen, 41, was shot in the throat during the attack at the back of his rented home last Thursday night, witnesses claimed.

The attacker was said to have appeared at the back of the property in a car before firing at the home six times.

Armed officers, along with medics, were called to the scene in Woodford Green, London, and the victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Allen was given an 18-year sentence in 2009 for his part in planning Britain’s biggest robbery, the £53million heist at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent, in 2006.

Another man arrested on the day of the shooting on suspicion of attempted murder and firearms offences has been bailed.
The house is owned by comic and ex-Big Brother’s Big Mouth presenter Kane, 43, who lives in Manchester.
