Thief shot down in Russell Kane’s house ‘victim of revenge attack’

A VILLAIN gunned down at a home owned by comic Russell Kane is believed to be the victim of a tit-for-tat attack.

Paul Allen was targeted after being blamed for the accidental shooting of an innocent young woman, The Sun understands.

But there is no suggestion that the ex-cage fighter was responsible.

The woman, in her early 20s, was caught in the crossfire of a gangland feud involving Allen, 41, and rival South London villains.

She survived being shot in the stomach in Woolwich, last September. No one has been charged.

A source said: “There was a lot of anger about what happened. Paul was blamed for it.”

Allen moved his family to Woodford Green, East London, fearing for their safety.

He was shot in the throat at the back of the rented property on Thursday and remains critically ill while under armed guard in hospital.

Allen was given an 18-year sentence in 2009 for his part in planning Britain’s biggest robbery — the £53million heist at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent in 2006.

A 28-year-old man is being held on suspicion of his attempted murder and firearms offences. A man in his 50s was released on police bail.
The house is owned by comic and ex-Big Brother’s Big Mouth presenter Kane, 43, who lives in Manchester.
