Barcelona president Bartomeu on Griezmann row: I've spoken to Cerezo
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is adamant they did nothing wrong over the signing of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
Atleti have claimed that the manner in which the Frenchman was signed was illegal and unethical but Bartomeu refuted the allegations.
"I've spoken with [Atletico Madrid]," said Bartomeu at Griezmann's unveiling. "There isn't proof of anything.
"I understand that Atletico are defending their interests.
"I've spoken with [Enrique] Cerezo.
"We'll see what happens but there really isn't anything to be said."
Barcelona's most expensive signings have come with Bartomeu at the helm and he assures that he will try to secure more additions.
"What I want is that we have the best players," he went on.
"We have a competitive team where there is a large pool of players who've won a lot already.
"Now we've got Griezmann at the right time. We are not going to stop trying to improve our team."
