NewsOne general producer questioned over planned TV link with Russia

General Producer of the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne Vasyl Holovanov was questioned by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on Monday as part of a treason inquiry into a planned TV linkup with Russian channel Rossiya-1.

“SBU investigators questioned Holovanov at the behest of the Prosecutor General’s Office,” the SBU press center said on Monday.

The SBU’s Main Investigative Directorate is investigating whether NewsOne attempted to commit treason by planning such a linkup. Investigators were instructed to question the channel’s owner Taras Kozak and Producer Holovanov.
