(THE COLLEGE FIX) — “Free” college and student loan debt forgiveness (translation: taxpayer condemnation) are common policy positions of influential Democrats, particularly the 2020 primary field.

For some Democratic members of Congress, it’s also personal: They still have student loan debt. And their silence suggests they don’t want to pay it back.
