Italian Cops Seize “Combat Ready” in Raid on Right Wingers
Anti-terrorism police in northern Italy have seized an air-to-air missile and other sophisticated weapons during raids on far-right extremist groups, arresting three suspects, the local italy reported.
The Turin special police force, called Digos, led the operations, assisted by police in Milan, Varese, Forli and Novara.
Carefully coordinated police raids in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium netted 84 suspected members of the ‘Ndrangheta. Most known for global cocaine trafficking, the organization has been buying property. The two-year Operation Pollino is a cross-border investigation into the ‘Ndrangheta criminal group, which is accused of cocaine trafficking, money laundering, bribery and violence, according to Eurojust, the EU prosecution agency tasked with cross-border crime, according to Dw.com
