In a dramatic twist to the ongoing political crisis in Karnataka, governor Vajubhai R Vala on Thursday sent out two missives — first to speaker KR Ramesh Kumar to wrap up trust vote in the assembly by the end of the day, followed by another one to chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, setting a deadline of 1.30pm on Friday to prove his majority.
