Attaching a Burley trailer to a new carbon bike

A big chunk of my riding these days is with an 18-month-old in tow (literally... in a Burley trailer.)

I'm currently using an older road bike... is there any risk to using a newer road bike with a carbon frame? I believe most of the weight/stress is placed on the rear axel, but I can't help but be a little paranoid.
