Tottenham Hotspur could potentially face a shortage of attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
The club are yet to confirm one way or another the fate of Fernando Llorente. The Spaniard’s contract expired at the end of the season and while there has been speculation that Spurs could offer Llorente a new one-year deal on reduced terms, it remains to be seen whether he will decide to stay in North London (Standard).
Should the 36-year-old walk away from Tottenham, it certainly leaves Mauricio Pochettino a striker short to call upon.
With Harry Kane’s proneness to pick up injuries at key points of the season, Llorente certainly helped to fill a gap when called upon last season in the Champions League.
