“Never said I was going to leave” – Poch says his comments were misunderstood

Tottenham Hotspur defied the odds to reach the finals of the Champions League last season despite being written off throughout the tournament. However, the final ended in heartbreak as Liverpool overcame Spurs 2-0 courtesy of an early penalty and another late goal.

After the loss, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was said to be contemplating his Spurs future and there were suggestions that he could quit Spurs to take up a new challenge (The Guardian).

Pochettino seemed to confirm those rumours two days ago when he suggested that he might have walked away from the club if Spurs had become European champions (Football London).
