CHELSEA could sell youngster Trevoh Chalobah this summer instead of sending him out on loan again, according to reports.
And Huddersfield are among the Championship clubs who are considering a move for the talented centre-back.
Goal report that Chalobah is highly-rated at Stamford Bridge, but his current deal is expiring in less than two years.
And, therefore, Chelsea would consider letting the youngster go on a permanent transfer this summer.
The Blues have the option to send him out on loan, but he would have to sign a contract extension beforehand.
Chalobah managed to play just 45 minutes under Frank Lampard in pre-season games – featuring in a 1-1 draw with Bohemians.
Huddersfield, however, were impressed by his performances at Ipswich on loan last season.
He made 44 appearances at Portman Road, with coach Paul Lambert utilising him as both a centre-back and defensive midfielder.

And Terriers coach Jan Siewert reportedly sees a place for Chalobah in his squad next season.
Huddersfield are facing a squad reshuffle as they are preparing for life in the Championship following last year’s relegation.
Meanwhile, Chalobah’s eldest brother Nathaniel left Stamford Bridge two years ago, joining Watford in a £5million deal.
