Love Island’s Joanna insists she’ll NEVER get back with Michael despite his begging – as she ‘can’t go through that’ again

LOVE Island’s Joanna Chimonides has insisted that she will NEVER get back with Michael Griffiths – despite his begging.

The 26-year-old beauty was stunned when the hunk tried to win back his ex Amber Gill just days after she was dumped from the villa earlier this month.

Joanna has now said that she refuses to go through the heartache Michael caused her again – especially as she’d repeatedly asked him if he still had feelings for Amber during their time together and he assured her that he didn’t.

Discussing a reconciliation with the 27-year-old firefighter, Joanna said: “I just can’t see myself dropping Michael expressing his feelings for Amber.”

She added to heat magazine: “I don’t ever see me allowing myself to go through that again, because it’s such a tough situation.”

The Sun Online previously revealed that Joanna and Michael are secretly meeting up, with an insider telling us at the time: “Joanna has agreed to meet up with him to see what happens because she can’t just turn her feelings off for him.

“At first Joanna was adamant that Michael has blown his chance but she’s having a change of heart after chatting to him following last night’s Aftersun.

“He’s promised her his feelings are genuine, and said he wanted to make it up to her, but has left it up to her to decide what happens moving forward.”

The comments come just days after fans flocked to social media to claim that Joanna WILL end up taking the hunk back.

Viewers were baffled by their friendly appearance together on Love Island’s sister programme Aftersun at the weekend, with many furious that Joanna didn’t give Michael a harder time.

Joanna caused shockwaves when she was seen grabbing Michael’s face and branding him a “f***ing snake” when he refused to quit the villa to be with her when she was dumped last week.

However, the star seemed embarrassed when confronted about the comment in the show, telling host Caroline Flack that she only meant it at the time.

Caroline then grilled Michael for hinting to Amber that when he said he’d found “everything that he was looking for” he was talking about her, not Joanna – with the presenter proving that Michael had been addressing the latter at the time.

Defending his comments, Michael stumbled over his words as he insisted: “You say things when there’s heightened emotions. People start put things in your mind.”

Joanna hit back: “What changed? I thought we had something really good, I went away and two days later it was totally different.”

Michael then said that it was possible to have feelings for two people at the same time, and the audience cheered when Joanna snapped: “I asked you several times.”

In spite of the frosty exchange, Joanna hugged Michael when she first joined him on stage and sat closely next to him during the conversation.

She also refused to directly shut down his hopes of a reconciliation, agreeing that they would talk privately off-camera about his behaviour.

Michael previously told The Sun Online that he hoped to win Joanna back – claiming that he can’t see a “future” with Amber in a shock THIRD U-turn.

He explained: “Ultimately I am hoping Joanna will take me back, I am hoping that’s the case.”

Michael spent his time in the villa pin-balling between the two women – he was originally coupled up with Amber, but swapped her for Joanna, only to then beg Amber to have him back when Joanna was dumped from the show.
