Man shot during argument in Austin
The 38-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 2:40 p.m. when he started to argue with someone in a vehicle in the 800 block of North Leclaire Avenue.
A man was shot in the leg Wednesday during an argument in Austin on the West Side.
The 38-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 2:40 p.m. when he got into an argument with someone in a vehicle in the 800 block of North Leclaire Avenue, according to Chicago police.
During the argument, the suspect in the vehicle pulled out a handgun and fired shots at the man, police said. The vehicle then drove off in an unknown direction.
The man was shot in the lower right leg and declined medical treatment at the scene, according to police.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
