Woman has giant Adidas logo burnt onto her leg after wearing leggings in the sun

A WOMAN has been left with the word Adidas burnt onto her leg after wearing the sportswear company’s leggings out in the sun.

Danielle Viagus-Fister, 21, thought she was being sensible by covering up in the long leggings as a scorching heatwave sweeps the UK.

But she didn’t realise that the sun was so strong that the thin material did not fully protect her from the intense rays.

Danielle, from Poole, Dorset, was sat outside in temperatures of more than 30C for an hour-and-a-half as she waited for her friends.

It was only when she went to change into a bikini that she realised the word Adidas had been negatively branded onto her skin.

“It was when I went to put on my bikini that I saw my leg,” Danielle told the Mirror.

“I thought ‘Oh my god’. I was in fits of laughter.”

She shared the image on Facebook, writing: “Think I caught a tan through my leggings #Adidas.”

Danielle even asked Adidas if they would hire her as an on-brand model.

But unfortunately the company turned down her request after praising her “nice tan”.

Bizarrely, it’s not the first time the leggings have caused problems for customers.

Kimberley Davis made the mistake of wearing the skin-tight leggings in the gym just after she applied overnight fake tan – although it’s not clear if it’s a prank.

Thinking she was safe to wear the leggings, the 36-year-old was horrified to find that the sports logo had imprinted onto her newly bronzed leg when she returned home from the workout.

Brits enjoyed sizzling temperatures of 32C yesterday thanks to a heatwave sparked by an African plume of Saharan air.

The mercury could soar to an “unprecedented” 40C today, smashing the current record of 38.5C set in Kent in August 2003.

Some forecast models show the high humidity levels could make the temperature feel like 44C on Thursday.
