Removal van turns up in Downing Street as Boris and Carrie prepare to move into their new No11 home

A REMOVAL van has been seen in Downing Street today to move out Theresa May’s belongings and get ready to put Boris and Carrie’s in.

The couple’s belongings will get moved into No11 in the coming days, where they have chosen to stay for the new PM’s time in office.

The Sun revealed last night that BoJo and Carrie want the four bedroom flat in No11, rather than the traditional No10 apartment.

Mr Javid, his wife and four children could now go into the smaller No10 abode instead, where Mr and Mrs May lived.

But it’s believed that the new Chancellor and his family will keep their larger home in Fulham too, which has much more space.

The Javids’ large house there was given a special security upgrade when he was made Home Secretary last year.

A source close to Mr Johnson confirmed his living arrangements, but said: “Boris is only following precedent”.

And Boris and Carrie have bought their own new place in Camberwell too, it was revealed earlier this week.

Mrs May, who intends to stay as the MP for Maidenhead, will return to living full time in the home in her constituency.

Previously David and Samantha Cameron and their children enjoyed the more roomy area above No11 too.

They remodelled the kitchen and let the cameras in to snap the PM working in the sitting room.

Mrs May also let the media in to film and take photographs – famously of her watching telly with hubbie Phil.

The swap between the No10 and No11 flat was originally done by the Blairs in 1997, who had a large family unlike then Chancellor Gordon Brown, who was single.

Removal men were seen moving ex-Chancellor Phillip Hammond’s belongings out earlier this week.

But he’s still got to get some of the furniture moved.

He resigned his position from the Government yesterday before Boris Johnson could sack him.
