Fox & Friends thinks the Mueller testimony was a great day for Trump. Morning Joe thinks it was a great day for Putin.
Fox & Friends took a post-Mueller victory lap on Thursday while MSNBC's Joe Scarborough openly mocked the conclusion that the hearing was a good day for the Republican Party.
Over on President Trump's morning show of choice, Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade concluded that the Mueller testimony "really changed things in the direction of the president," while co-host Ainsley Earhardt claimed the hearings "really did clear the president" and decided that "now we can move on," per Media Matters for America's Bobby Lewis. Later in the show, the hosts played a montage of various pundits observing that the hearings were a big miss for Democrats.

President Trump quickly seized on these quotes from the Fox & Friends hosts, tweeting several out on his Twitter account.
Let's just say Scarborough had a different reaction, with the Morning Joe host objecting to Republicans being "ecstatic" about the hearing, especially considering Mueller's testimony included reminders that Russia interfered in the 2016 election and that they plan to do so again.
Russia, Scarborough concluded, must be "celebrating the fact that the entire Republican Party are useful idiots for them now and have flung open their arms for the Russians to come and undermine American democracy." The MSNBC host added, "So Republicans, yes, please celebrate. What a great day it was for you and Vladimir Putin." Needless to say, Scarborough's quotes didn't make it to Trump's Twitter account.
