Tax Increases to Fund Social Security Expansion Will Cut Medicare, Income Tax Receipts

The House of Representatives may soon pass legislation that would dramatically increase Social Security taxes for all workers. But Congress's Joint Committee on Taxation finds that those Social Security tax increases would reduce other federal revenues by $300 billion over 10 years.
