WATCH: Steelers announce one-year contract extension for Mike Tomlin
Mike Tomlin will be in Pittsburgh for at least the next three seasons. The Steelers announced a one-year contract extension for the veteran head coach on Thursday that will take him through the 2021 season.
In a statement from the organization, Steelers President Art Rooney II said: “Mike is one of the most successful head coaches in the National Football League and we are confident in his leadership to continue to lead our team as we pursue our goal of winning another championship.”
Tomlin led the Steelers to a Super Bowl win in just his second season, a 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl 43.
Pittsburgh has never had a losing season in 12 years with Tomlin at the helm.
