Confederation tourneys bring change to FIFA rankings with Algeria gaining 26 places
July 25 – The now completed confederation championships for CAF, Concacaf and Conmebol have brought change to the FIFA men’s rankings.
Conmebol champions move above France to take second spot, Concacaf winners Mexico move up six places to 12th, while African champions Algeria are the biggest movers in the rankings, climbing 26 places to 40th.
