Mets Still Want Major Leaguers in Return for Noah Syndergaard
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the Padres have submitted an offer to the Mets for Noah Syndergaard, but it is unknown how far apart the two sides are on the price. The offer reportedly contains multiple major league players.
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Mets are asking for major league players or major league ready minor leaguers from teams in return for Syndergaard, regardless of their farm system rankings.
Joel Sherman on MLB Network believes the Mets will hold onto to Syndergaard and Edwin Diaz unless they get $1.50 on $1.00 in terms of value. He also notes that the Mets want pieces that can help right away as they want contend in the short-term.
