Father and son stop gunman during armed robbery
A gunman burst into a local 7-Eleven Tuesday at 12:30 in the afternoon and stuck his gun in the face of a clerk. He announced a robbery. But a pair of customers who could have run decided to fight. The entire life and death struggle caught on camera.
The men, a father and son who work for a public works department, are frequent customers at the store in Prince George's County.
They were checking out at the cashier's counter when the would-be robber burst in. At first, the suspect dropped his sawed off shotgun. Then he picked it back up and demanded cash. That's when the younger of the two witnesses grabbed the gun. The pair wrestled for control of the weapon.
